Tendulkar’s era ends with Test win

DHAKA: The "god of cricket" will not play for India again as Sachin Tendulkar’s final and 200th Test match ended with victory over West Indies on Saturday.

India defeated the visitors on Day 3 of the second and final Test by 126 runs and an innings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Cricket legend Sachin got emotional as players gave him a guard of honour after the match.

As Harsha Bhogle just said, it was a "mobile guard of honour" with the Indian players on either side jogging sideways and clapping. It’s a solemn moment.

It would have been the perfect script had Sachin got that final wicket, but I`m sure he wouldn`t have minded. India had pinned West Indies down. But Sachin did score a half-century in his final innings and a very fluent one.

India scored 495 runs in its first innings where Sachin Tendulker scored 74 runs in his 200th and final test in the tremendous carrier.

West Indies scored 182 with loss of ten wickets in the first innings while they scored 187 with loss of all ten wickets in their second innings.
