All-rounder Al Hasan has signed a two-year contract with Dhaka Premier League (DPL) side Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.   

“I’m very happy to be part of this team. I’m hoping that we will be champions in the next two years and we will try to bring this success for the whole team,” he said.

He said this on Saturday (December 16) evening at the Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at the 'Victory Day Celebration and Members' Night' programme.

“I hope that Sheikh Jamal will work for these little kids and that is the reason they opened the indoor. They will have better training facilities and many cricketers from here will represent Bangladesh on the world map,” Shakib added.

Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club President Safwan Sobhan said, “As sports are in our blood, Bashundhara Group is always ahead in the development of sports.”

Safwan Sobhan also said: “We have signed a two-year contract between Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Shakib Al Hasan…Shakib will play for Sheikh Jamal in the Dhaka Premier League for the next two years.”
