The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today (Sept 12) announced a 16-man squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against India.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Jaker Ali Anik has replaced fast bowler Shoriful Islam in the squad. This is the only change made by the selectors from the recent successful Test series against Pakistan, where Bangladesh secured a 2-0 victory.
The Bangladesh cricket team will depart for India on September 15. The first Test will be held in Chennai from September 19, with the second match starting on September 27.
Jaker, a 26-year-old right-hander, has an impressive first-class average of 41.47 since his debut in 2016. He recently achieved his highest first-class score of 172 during Bangladesh A's series in Pakistan.
