Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain said that Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has committed to tackling the challenges faced by the Bangladesh women's football team.
During a reception on November 2, Mahmud noted that issues such as accommodation shortages, inadequate training facilities, and salary concerns were discussed thoroughly, with Prof. Yunus pledging to find solutions.
The reception for the SAFF Championship-winning team was hosted at the State Guest House Jamuna, where the chief adviser invited the footballers to breakfast, attentively listened to their concerns, and requested that they submit a detailed list of their demands.
The players presented signed jerseys and footballs to the chief adviser, who shared breakfast with the team.
Mahmud assured that the footballers' requests, to be submitted within 2-3 days, would be personally delivered to Prof. Yunus. He also emphasized Yunus's encouragement for the team to maintain their winning momentum.
Addressing broader football issues, Mahmud added that the challenges facing the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), including those related to women's football, would be resolved in collaboration with the new BFF leadership.
