DHAKA: Shakib Al Hasan on Friday apologized for making improper gesture during second match against Sri Lanka at Mirpur.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) banned Shakib Al Hasan for next three One Day International (ODI) matches and fined him BDT. 300,000.

BCB acting executive chief Nizamuddin Chowdhury made the disclosure saying after an inquiry the board found Shakib guilty of making an inappropriate gesture on live television during the match.
