Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is set to represent Asian Stars in the upcoming Asian Legends League, which will run from March 10 to 18.

The tournament will feature five teams: Bangladesh Tigers, Indian Royals, Afghanistan Pathans, Sri Lankan Lions, and Asian Stars.

Initially, it seemed Shakib would play for Bangladesh Tigers, but he ultimately chose to join the Asian Stars squad, which includes renowned players such as Dilshan Munaweera, Kedar Jadhav, Sourabh Tiwary, Hamid Hassan, and Seekkuge Prasanna.

Shakib’s first match for Asian Stars will take place on March 10 against Afghanistan Pathans, with his much-anticipated encounter against Bangladesh Tigers scheduled for March 12.

The Bangladesh Tigers team will be captained by Tamim Iqbal, alongside Nadif Chowdhury, Dhiman Ghosh, Jubair Hossain Likhon, and Mohammad Ashraful.

The Asian Stars squad also includes Shakib Al Hasan, Dilshan Munaweera, Sourabh Tiwary, Lahiru Thirimanne, Mehran Khan, Kedar Jadhav, Shehan Jayasuriya, Ayaan Khan, Mahbub Alam, Shahbaz Nadeem, Seekkuge Prasanna, Parvinder Awana, Hasti Gul, Hamid Hassan, and Abhimanyu Mithun.
