Hamza Choudhury made an instant impact on his home debut, heading in the opener from a Jamal Bhuyan cross in the sixth minute. The stadium erupted in applause for Hamza, who was a fan favourite throughout.

Sohel Rana added the second goal early in the second half with a stunning strike from outside the box, sealing the victory.

Despite crowd chaos—broken gates and pitch invaders—the match continued without major disruptions. Bangladesh controlled the game, created numerous chances, and kept a clean sheet.
