Tamim to play for World XI at Lord’s

DHAKA: Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal will play for the Rest of the World XI for a friendly match against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) 

The match which is part of the Bicentenary celebrations of the current Lord’s Ground will be held at England’s Lord’s cricket ground on July 5.

Shane Warne will lead the Rest of the World while India legend Sachin Tendulkar to be the skipper of Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC)-XI.


Rest of the World: Shane Warne (captain), Muttaiah Muralitharan, Kevin Pietersen, Virender Sehwag, Shahid Afridi, Tino Best, Paul Collingwood, Adam Gilchrist, Tamim Iqbal, Peter Siddle, Yuvraj Singh.

MCC: Sachin Tendulkar (captain), Brian Lara, Brett Lee, Saeed Ajmal, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Rahul Dravid, Daniel Vettori Aaron Finch, Umar Gul, Chris Read, Shaun Tait.
