Mushfiqur out after hits fifty

DHAKA: Tiger skipper Mushfiqur Rahim was caught out after scoring a time-needed 59 runs on the slow pitch.

Parvez Rasool got the wicket of Mushfiq after stepped outside the crease got a massive edge on this, and Rahane completed a safe catch in the mid-off area. He scored 59 off 63 with three fours and three over boundaries.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah are batting now. Bangladesh’s scoreboard is now at 159 for four in 35 overs.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first in the first ODI match against visiting India. 

The match started at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at 1:00pm Sunday.  

Tigers hope to do well under the new coach Chandika Hathurusingha, bowling coach Heath Streak and trainer Mario Villavarayan.  

Indian cricket team arrived Dhaka on a weeklong tour to play a three matches ODI series against Bangladesh on Friday.  

Suresh Raina is leading the 15-member youthful team of world champions India.   

The two others one day matches will be held on June 17 and 19 at the same venue.
