DHAKA: Hundreds of students from different schools and madrashas across the country gathered at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city ignoring heavy downpour.

They are waiting to hear from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is expected to address there at the closing ceremony of the 43rd Bangladesh National School & Madrasa Summer Sports Competition.

Curtail of the ceremony was unveiled at 10:30am with education minister Nurul Islam Nahid in the chair.

Nahid inaugurated the 5-day event organized by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education last Tuesday.  

A total of 481 students took part in the competition from different schools, college and madrasa of secondary and higher secondary level. Of them, 264 were male students, 160 female students and 57 officials.
