DHAKA: Country’s largest online news portal banglanews24.com beat New Age by 2-0 goal in the first match of the second day of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament-2014 in the city on Wednesday.

The match began at the artificial turf of the Bangladesh Football Federation in the city’s Motijheel area at 8:00am. Banglanews led the match by 2-0 in the fist half of the match.

Banglanews’ Newsroom Editor Shamin Hossain sent the ball to the net eight minutes after the game began. Sports Correspondent Pial followed Shamin four minutes after the fist goal.

No goal from any side was scored in the second half.

Shamin was chosen as the Man of the Match.

Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) organized the six-day event, sponsored by the Square Toiletries Limited.  Some 25 media outlets of the country have taken part in the tournament.
