DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has introduced two new committees on Thursday.

The committees are Technical Committee and High-Performance Committee.

BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon, in the night, made the disclosure of the new committees after 10th meeting of the board at a city hotel.

He said there that former six cricketers -- Jahangir Shah Badsha, ASM Faruk, Shafiqul Haque Heera, Mainul Haque, Ishtiaque Ahmed and Athar Ali Khan -- have been chosen as the members of the Technical Committee.

However, according to Papon, the name of the convener of the committee will be declared later.

On the hand, the board president added, two vice-presidents of BCB, Mahbub Anam and AZM Nasir Uddin, have respectively been made the chairman and vice-chairman of the newly formed eight-member High-Performance Committee.

All the BCB standing committees’ chairmen -- Naimur Rahman Durjoy (Direction Committee), Khaled Mahmud Sujon (Game Development Committee), Akram Khan (Tournament Committee), Gazi Golam Mortuza Pappa (Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis, CCDM), Hanif Bhuiyan (Grounds Committee) and Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan (Facilities Committee) -- are the members of the High-Performance Committee.
