DHAKA: Bangladesh and Malaysia both scored 2 goals each in the race to be the champion of Bangabandhu Gold Cup tournament at Bangabandhu National Stadium.

The match started at 5:00pm Sunday and Malaysia was 2 goals ahead on the first half. Immediately second half began, Bangladesh scored two goals within few minutes.

Earlier on Friday, the hosts qualified for the final in the tournament beating Thailand by 1-0 goal the semi-final at the same venue.

Group A runners-up Bangladesh scored the winner through Nasiruddin Chowdhury in the 38th minute. Both sides scored no more goals in the match.

On Thursday, Malaysia confirmed the final of the tournament by narrowly beating its neighboring Singapore by 1-0 goal at the Sylhet District Stadium.
