Zimbabwe bowl against full-strength SA

DHAKA: Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and sent South Africa into bat in their first World Cup Pool B match in Hamilton on Sunday.

Zimbabwe though have opted to be without Prosper Utseya, one of their most experienced players and the man who spearheaded a famous victory over Australia in August 2014.

The batting wears a familiar look, with Sikandara Raza at the top, Brendan Taylor and Hamilton Masakadza in the middle and captain Elton Chigumbura and Solomon Mire for lower-order fireworks.

South African all-rounder Farhaan Behardien passed a fitness test having recovered from a back problem in time for the match.

South Africa entered the game with three frontline seamers and leg-spinner Imran Tahir while Zimbabwe left out Prosper Utseya.
