DHAKA: Bangladesh are chasing Pakistan-set a 240-run target to win the second match and also the ODI series at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur in city on Sunday.

Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar have opened batting for Bangladesh.

Earlier, Pakistan captain Azhar Ali won the toss and decided to bat first in the match that kicked off at 2:30pm.

Pakistan batsmen recovered from a tattering start of 77-run for the loss of five wickets at a stage, thanks to the 77-run partnership of Saad Nasim and Haris Sohail and 85-run partnership of Saad Nasim and Wahab Riaz.

Saad Nasim scored 77 runs while Haris Sohail and Wahab Riaz took 44 and 51 runs respectively.

Shakib Al Hasan was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh. He took two wickets while Arafat Sunny, Rubel Hossain, Nasir Hossain and Mashrafe Mortaza took one wicket each.

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe is in for Abul Hasan while Pakistan are playing with their unchanged team of the previous game.

Mashrafe missed Tigers’ victory due to one-match suspension for slow over rating in the World Cup 2015 quarterfinal match against India.

With Sunday’s match, Mortaza has become the third Bangladesh cricketer to play 150 ODIs, playing 148 for the country and two for Asia XI in 2007 so far.

With winning the first match by 79 runs after a 16-year hoodoo, now Bangladesh have stood on a chance to make another historic moment, wining the game to seal for historic series win against Pakistan.
