DHAKA: Bangladesh need 163 runs to win the second One Day International to keep the hope alive in the three-match series against visiting South Africa.

Earlier in the day, Proteas captain Hashim Amla won the toss and chose to bat in the day-night match that started at 3:00 local time (09:00 GMT) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in city Sunday.

From the beginning, Bangladesh bowlers dictated the terms of the South Africa’s innings. The Tigers bowled out South Africa for 162, the lowest against Bangladesh, in 46-over. Proteas batsmen never really got going in their innings and were rattled by regular wickets.

Mustafizur set the tone with zip and bounce before the spinners tightened the screws further. The left hand pacer ended up with 3 for 38-run in his 10-over.

Nasir Hossain also took three wickets while Rubel Hossain grabbed two, and Mashrafe Mortaza and Mahmudullah took one wicket each. Shakib Al Hasan could not take any wicket but conceded only 30-run in his 10-over.

Rubel Hossain replaced Jubair Hossain in the Bangladesh XI.

After their eight-wicket win in the first ODI on Friday, South Africa have not change in the XI.

For the first time since December 2011, Bangladesh were bowled out for less than 200 when batting first in an ODI. Their batting form was not all that good even in the India series, but they managed to get the job done.
