More technological securities for U-19 World Cup

DHAKA: The technological issues will be given priority to ensure security during U-19 ICC Cricket World Cup 2016.

The event is scheduled to start from January 27 at eight venues in four districts of Bangladesh.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) director general (DG) Benazir Ahmed came up with this while addressing a press meet at Le Méridien Hotel in city’s Uttara area on Saturday (January 23).

He further said that the security teams of International Cricket Council (ICC) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have expressed their satisfaction after observing the taken security measures.

Benazir Ahmed also said, “Our aim is to ensure utmost security during the tournament using our previous experiences of organizing World Cup and Asia Cup”.

Special measures have already been taken against the backdrop of national and international security concerns. Moreover, technological part has been prioritized to ensure unassailable security, he added.
