India need 139-run to secure final

DHAKA: Sri Lanka batsmen have scored 138-run losing nine wickets from their 20-over quota against India in the seventh match of Asia Cup 2016 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in city on Tuesday (March 1).

Winning the toss, India’s captain MS Dhoni invited Lankans to bat first on a slightly greenish track.

Sri Lanka lost three wickets within 6.1-over scoring only 31-run. However, CK Kapugedera, TAM Siriwardana, AD Mathews, TM Dilshan, NLTC Perera and KMDN Kulasekara scored 30, 22, 18, 18, 17 and 13 runs.

JJ Bumrah, HH Pandya and R Ashwin picked up two wickets each while A Nehra took one.

Lankan captain Angelo Mathews wanted to bowl first because of the dew factor that might come into play at night.

India has brought one change in their team, Shekhar Dhawan in replacing Ajinkya Rahane.
