DHAKA: DRU Media Cup Football Tournament hosted by Dhaka Reporter’s Unity (DRU) kicked off at Shahid (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium inside city’s Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday morning (August 28).

The final is scheduled to be held on September 1.

A total of 34 national dailies along other news agencies, online and broadcasting media are participating in the tournament.

Each team will play with six players though it should be within 10 including coach and manager who are DRU members.

Champions will get TK 40,000 while the runner-ups Tk 20,000 along with their respective trophies.

Moreover, there will be a fair play trophy for the most disciplined team. Player of the Tournament and the highest scorer will get trophies and TK 5,000 each.
