DHAKA: Banglanews24.com beat ‘Khola Kagoj’ with a clear margin of 2-0 in their opening game in Dhaka Reporter’s Unity (DRU) Media Cup Football Tournament on Monday (August 29).

Output Editor (English) Syed Mohammad Salahuddin scored the goals for banglanews.

The victory came in the second day of the tournament organized by DRU at Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium inside city’s Bangabandhu National Stadium.

A total of 34 national dailies along with other news agencies, online and broadcasting media are participating in the tournament this year.

Champion team will get TK 40,000 while the runner-up team Tk 20,000 along with their respective trophies.

Moreover, there will be a fair play trophy for the most disciplined team.

Besides, player of the tournament and the highest scorer will get trophies and TK 5,000 each.

The final is scheduled to be held on September 1.
