DHAKA: The visiting England have won the first test against Bangladesh by 22 runs at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Monday morning (October 24).

Earlier in the morning tigers resumed their batting on the fifth-day as they need 33 more runs to win with 2 wickets remaining.

But Bangladesh’s hope evaporated with the early loss of two wickets --Taijul Islam and Shafiul Islam.

Sabbir Rahman, however, scored a brilliant 64 not out in the innings for Bangladesh.
