Bangladeshi cricketer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was honored 'Best Bangali Award 2017’ for his outstanding contribution to cricket by ABP Media Group of Kolkata.

The award was given to the ‘Tiger’ in a splendid ceremony On Saturday evening (July 29). Family members of the cricketer were present in the function.
 
Prior to handing over the award, a documentary was presented on the screen, which highlighted the emergence of a cricketer from Narail Express to the captain of Bangladesh Cricket Team.

Earlier, former Bangladesh Cricket Team’s Captain Habibul Bashar and All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan were honored with this prestigious award.

Five years later, Mashrafe was given this award as a cricketer of Bangladesh

ABP Media Group awards the Bengalis for their contributions in different fields every year.
