DHAKA: Richard Pybus, an English-born cricket coach, who earlier served for a short stint as the head coach of Bangladesh cricket team, is scheduled to arrive here for an interview for the post of ‘head coach’.
He also served as the Director of Cricket for the West Indies Cricket Board since 2013.
Pybus will arrive here Tuesday (December 5) and is expected to face the interview Wednesday (December 6).
BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) Media committee chairman Jalal Yunus said that Pybus’ interview is supposed to take place Wednesday noon.
However, BCB are set to recruit a new coach following Chandika Hathurusingha's resignation.
“Pybus is the first one to attend the interview here. There are more one-two aspirants”, said Jalal.
Pybus served as the Tigers’ head coach in 2012 for less than five months.
