I’m the Boss in T20: Chris Gayle Chris Gayle respond the gallery after confirming century at BPL final

DHAKA: Rangpur Riders batting giant T20 Cricket sensation Chris Gayle proclaimed himself as the ‘boss’ of the shorter format of cricket, after leading his team to grip the maiden title of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Exhibiting the one-army-show by scoring individual 146-run against the Dhaka Dynamites in the final match, an overflowed Gayle accolade himself by saying that there is no other T20 smasher who can fall him behind.

While talking to the media at the post-match briefing in Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, the Caribbean batsman has adorned himself with the epithet-- King of T20.

“I am the lone boss in the realm of T20 cricket. I have no other copy. I am the best of all time”, he said.

However, the records bagged by the Riders prodigy echoed the same.

Gayle violated some preceding records also held by him, at the BPL final match as he became the first ever cricketer to touch the milestone of 11 thousand runs in T20. He confirmed the position of highest number of six gleaner after sending 18 balls above the boundary in Mirpur Tuesday (December 12), crossing his earlier record of 17-six in Indian Premier League (IPL).

Besides, he surpassed Dhaka Dynamites’ Trinidadian star Evin Lewis and became the top run scorer of BPL 2017 with 485 runs in credit in 11 matches. Consequently, he was bestowed with the ‘Player of the Tournament’.

Moreover, Gayle confirmed his 20th century against the Dynamites, whereas no other cricketer has more than seven centuries in this short-ranged game.

Hailing his 11-thousand-run record among all the records, he said: “It is very wonderful achievement. I do it for the spectators. I’m now 38 years old. But the people want me in that style (destructive). I will be enchanting my fans as long as I can.”

To his Bangladesh fans, he said: “I would come here in the upcoming BPL, as the dice for your merrymaking.”

However, Mashrare Bin Mortaza-led Rangpur Riders snatched the glory after smashing the Dynamites camp by 57 runs, after setting 206-run target.
