DHAKA: In a latest move, BPL franchise Chittagong Vikings has confirmed its participation in the sixth season of the T20 tournament in January next year.
Earlier, management of the team emailed the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) governing body, stating they won’t play in the tournament anymore.
They even didn’t submit the Player Retention list within the deadline.
Vikings’ proprietor later changed the decision and confirmed the league authority this.
They submitted the Player Retention list to Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) where spinner Sunzamul Islam, Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza, Afghan middle-order batsman Najibullah Zadran and New Zealand wicket-keeper Luke Ronchi was named.
BCB sources have confirmed the news Saturday (Oct 6).
However, the sixth season of BPL is scheduled to begin on January 5, 2019.
