DHAKA: Poor performance of the fellows in the opening T20I against the visiting West Indies led Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan to react with rage.
He couldn’t hide the anger at the post-match press meet.
"Everything went wrong today other than the toss. We didn't bat well and didn't bowl well. It was a good surface, we should've scored at least 175. You must ask the other batsmen why they didn't bat well. I can't answer for everyone,” he said
“As I said, nothing worked out today. Whatever we did, it didn't click. A lot to learn from this game," added the Tigers’ T20I and Test skipper.
In the opening match of the three match series, only three Bangladesh batsmen managed to cross 10 runs each!
Shakib’s 61 off 43 balls helped the hosts to raise total to 129 runs.
In response, the Caribbean reached the 130-run target by loosing two wickets in 10.5 overs.
The match was played at Sylhet International Stadium.
