DHAKA: West Indies won the T20 International series beating Bangladesh by 50 runs in their third and final match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur of Dhaka on Saturday (December 22).
Senior players including Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Mushfiqur Rahim (w) and Mahmudullah could not perform well while chasing the 191-run target set by the visitors.
The host lost all wickets to score 140 runs in 17 overs. Liton Das, however, took the highest 43 runs off 25 balls.
Earlier, Evin Lewis, the left-handed top-order batsman of West Indies, guided his team to gather 190/10 in 19.1 overs hitting 89 of 36 deliveries.
Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah and Mustafizur Rahman bagged 3 wickets each.
With the series standing 1-1, the last encounter became the decider. In the series opener, Bangladesh lost to West Indies by eight wickets at Sylhet. But in the next match, the hosts leveled the series winning it by 36 runs.
