DHAKA: Bangladesh‘s dashing opening batsman Tamim Iqbal scored his ninth century in Test cricket, during match 1 of the three-match Test series against New Zealand at Hamilton on Thursday (Feb 28).
His ton came off 100 deliveries hitting boundary, hammering a pull in front of square. That's his fourth overseas Test ton.
He was dismissed by de Grandhomme after reaching 126 off 128 balls including 21 boundaries and a six.
New Zealand are 86 at stumps and trail by 148 runs with 10 wickets remaining in the 1st innings of the 1st Test of the three-match series.
Earlier in the day, New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first in the first innings of First Test against Bangladesh.
