DHAKA: India have won the toss and opted bat to first against West Indies in the 34th match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester on Thursday (June 27).
After winning the toss, Virat Kohli said, "We have two wrist-spinners, and hopefully a few rough patches for them to exploit. I think shot-selection and bit more application when they are set (for the team)."
Jason Holder: says "We would have liked to have bowled too, but if the pitch will do anything, it will probably be first up. Two changes for us: Sunil Ambris and Fabian Allen are in, for Ashley Nurse and Evin Lewis"
Virat Kohli will be 37 runs short reaching 20,000 international runs in cricket (Test, ODIs and T20Is).
West Indies, meanwhile, are almost out of the tournament, but virtually stay alive if they win this and till the time the teams in the top bracket of the points table don’t advance.
