DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced appointments of Charl Langeveldt as the national team's new fast bowling coach and Daniel Vettori as short-term spin bowling coach.

BCB President Nazmul Hassan made the announcement at a meeting held at BCB office in Mirpur Saturday (July 27).

Langeveldt, a former player of South Africa, has been appointed for two years. He has had stints as the bowling coach for South Africa and Afghanistan. He will replace Courtney Walsh.

Former New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori will take charge ahead of Bangladesh's tour of India in November and will deliver his service in 100 days in two years.

BCB didn't renew the contract with outgoing Courtney Walsh as the four-year contract with the West Indies legend expired after the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019.
