DHAKA: Tiger batsman-wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim has reached the milestone of 6000 runs in One Day International (ODI) format of cricket, after scoring 8* runs against Sri Lanka in Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Before the match played on Sunday (July 28), he was eight-run away from touching the milestone.
Mushfiq becomes the third Bangladeshi batsman after Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan to enter the elite club of six thousand runs.
Tamim has 6890 runs from 203 matches while Shakib 6323 from 206.
Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar topped the list with 18,426 runs where Mushfiq has become 61st batsman to gather 6000 runs.
