DHAKA: Bangladesh women’s hockey team registered their first victory on Tuesday (September 10), beating Sri Lanka 2-0 in AirAsia Women’s Junior (U-21) AHF Cup in Singapore. 

Tarin Akter Khushi scored the first goal in the 27th minute and Fardia Akter Ratri scored the second in the 58th minute.

Bangladesh, in the first match, suffered a loss to Singapore 3-0.

Bangladesh is grouped with Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan.

On Thursday (September 12), Bangladesh girls will take on Hong Kong.
