DHAKA: Coaching staff of Bangladesh national cricket team are unwilling to travel to Pakistan for the international series in February next year on security ground, sources of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said.

No one except the conditioning coach Mario Villavarayan is interested in traveling to Pakistan with the Bangladesh team. However, none has officially discussed the matter.

Head coach Russell Domingo, pace bowling coach Charl Langeveldt, batting consultant Neil McKenzie, fielding coach Ryan Cook and newly included physiotherapist Julian Calefato and spin bowling coach Daniel Vettori have told BCB that they do not want to travel to Pakistan.

Daniel Vettori arrived in Dhaka on Friday (Oct 25) morning to join the preparatory camp ahead of India tour of Bangladesh National Cricket Team.

Srinivas Chandrasekaran, the Indian computer analyst of the party, has confirmed in advance that he will not travel to Pakistan.

Bangladesh national team is scheduled to play two Tests and three Twenty20 internationals in February next year. The two Test matches are the part of the two team’s World Test Championship game.

Teams have been reluctant to visit Pakistan since a deadly militant attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009.

BCB will take the final decision on the tour after receiving the report from the security panel. Instead, the tour may be arranged in another neutral venue.
