DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said there is nothing more to do if International Cricket Council (ICC) takes decision against Bangladesh Test and T20I captain Shakib Al Hasan for breaching ICC code of conduct.

Sheikh Hasina said: “Bangladesh Cricket Bangladesh (BCB) is always with Shakib and will provide him all kinds of support.”

Prior to the ICC decision the premier made the remark in a press conference at her Ganabhaban official residence in Dhaka on Tuesday (October 29).

The press conference held about her recent Azerbaijan visit to join the Non-Align Movement (NAM) Summit.

"In that case, you know that ICC takes any action, then there is nothing more we can do about it,” she also said.

“Yet all we can say that a player of our country has a unique position in cricket all over the world.   It's right that he made the mistake and he realized it. Yet, we and BCB will be with him (Shakib)” she further said.
