DHAKA: The newly married wife of Bangladesh cricketer Liton Das sustained burn injuries in a fire caused by a cylinder blast in her residence on March 27.

The accident took place when she attempted to lit gas stove with matchsticks for making tea, said Debosri Biswas Sanchita in a Facebook post.

According to her post, Sanchita sustained injuries on her right hand.

Earlier on April 19, Liton got engaged to Devasri Biswas in Dinajpur.

Later on July 28, they got married in a Community Centre at Mirpur in the capital. Sanchita is now studying at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University.
