Delhi Capital Won The One Over Eliminator 

Explosive batting and level headed cool bowling by West Australian recruit of Delhi Capital Marcus Peter Stoinis stalled the victory march of Kings Eleven Punjab spearheaded by Maynak Agarwal. 

Chasing a victory target of 158 Kings XI Punjab was within 13 runs of victory target when the last over started. The key bowler of Delhi Capital Ravi Ashwin was injured after one over. DC captain brought in tormentor Stoinis. Agarwal struck the first ball out of the park. After first 3 balls the score was level at 157. Stoinis bowled 4th ball was a dot ball. He took two wickets on the 5th and 6th. The 20+20= 40 overs dramatic episode of T20 cricket at Dubai theatre produced a tie with both teams finishing 157/8.  The match played with such intensity and competitiveness that neither team deserved loosing. Ultimately the nail biting and breathtaking match ended in a tie. Per tournament byelaw on the tie break super over DC won the match.
 
Dhawan got himself run out in a terrible mess. Indian pacer Mohammad Shami was awesome.  Shaw and Hetmeyer were blown away. DC was 3/13 in the power play. Two youngsters Iyer and Punt whom many consider the future of Indian cricket put together 73 runs in a slow but steady 3rd wicket partnership. Shami on his second spell removed Iyer (39) and rookie leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi accounted for Punt (31). DC score was looking miserable at 5/87 at 15th over. But at that stage Australian blaster MP Stoinis set in tornado striking. 70 runs were added over the 5.5 overs. Stonis alone added 53 in 21 deliveries. DC reached 157/8 in 20 0vers. Mohammad Sami (3/15) was the peak of Kings XI bowlers, Cottrell took 2/22.

Kings XI on reply struggled all the way after Rahul and Agarwal made a quiet start crawling to 30 by the 5th over. By the 10th over Kings lost 5 wickets for 55. Agarwal was however alone ploughing in the sand. Wickets kept tumbling at one end. Ravi Ashwin struck double blow in his only over. But he got injured and looked line losing the remainder of IPL 2020. Agarwal setting calculated onslaught blasting 7 fours and 4 sixes took Kings within striking distance of winning target. They required scoring 13 for winning the match. 12 runs were added by the 3rd ball of Stoinis. The score was level. Kings were dreaming. Kings XI owner Preeti Zinta was expecting. Stoinis kept his cool. 4th ball was a dot. On 5th and 6th Stoinis removed Agarwal and Jordan. The score was tied at 157/8. The match was decided in the super over. DC won. 

What an astonishing match! The fate of the match kept swinging like a pendulum all the way. Bookies perhaps made their future from the match.
