Dream11 IPL 2020
8th Match Between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Played at Abu Jayed Stadium, Abu Dhavi
KKR 145/3 (Shubman Gill 70*, EJG Morgan 43*) Beat SRH 142/4 in 18 Overs( MK Pandey 51, DA Warner 36, WP Shaha 30) by 7 Wickets.

KKR won the battle of toddlers among the big fish. Chasing a moderate target of 143 set up by SRH they cruised home scoring 145/3 in 18 overs. They registered their first win in 2 matches. With 4 from two matches Delhi Capital leads the table. 6 teams have 2 points each. Only SRH score is blank till now.

KKR and SRH languishing at the bottom of the table desperately required a win in the match to register points and make kick start. On a rare occasion in this year’s IPL David Warner winning the toss elected to bat. There was no venom at the wicket to worry about. Warner appeared to be finding his feet though flamboyant English opener Bairstow left early. Just when Warner was about to tee off he was caught and bowled by Varun for 36. Yet Pandey (51) and Shaha (30) appeared resurrecting. If only their 62 runs worth 3rd wicket partnership could go deeper SRH could put up a far more competitive score essential for defending on dew soaked evening wicket. Conspicuously SRH middle order did not push the paddle hard. 142/4 was at least 30 runs short a score to defend. KKR bowlers bowled tight and their fielding was far more improved on the day.

KKR started in a brisk fashion loosing 3 top order wickets for 53 by the 7th over. But 21 years old youngster Shubman Gill playing a gorgeous innings of unbeaten 70 and English limited over Captain Morgan looking equally impressive with 42 not out led KKR cruising home by 7 wickets with 2 overs to spare. On a dew soaked wicket even Rashid and Nabi could not tease KKR batsmen. It turned out a cakewalk ultimately for KKR. Loosing two in two SRH is looking miserable. They now need to win at least four of the five remaining matches for staying in the hunt. It was only the second of the eight matches played so far that a team chasing won.
