Reigning Champions Mumbai Indians completely routed Rajsthan Royals in aone-way traffic winning big by 57 runs at Sheikh Jayed Stadium Abu Dhavi. Batting first MI looked merry posting an impressive 193/4. Top order batsman Surjakumar Yadav sparked with an unbeaten 79, Rohit Sharma (35) and Hardik Pandya (30*) also made useful contributions. Strong MI pace battery comprising of Bumrah (4/20), Pattinson (2/19) and Boult (2/26) then crashed Rajasthan Royals succumbing to 136 all out. None but Buttler (70) could withstand the Tsunami surge of MI attack.  Winning by 57 runs MI joined the table topper Delhi Capitals with 8 points. The mission IPL 2020 of RR appears to be almost over.

The match however, did not generate the usual excitements and fervor. The intensity of the contest somehow was missing.  MI top order batted with passion, as RR attack did not look like bowling with any purpose. Surjakumar Yadav played a glorious innings of unbeaten 79 while he struck 11 fours and 2 sixes in 47 deliveries. The unfinished 5th wicket partnership with Hardik Pandya (30*) produced 76 runs in just 6 overs. 

RR in response found a very impressive MI attack firing in all cylinders. Bumrah (4/20), Pattinson (2/19) and Boult (2/26) teased and tormented RR batsmen to total submission. Only Buttler scoring 70 could give some fight. But his solo effort proved only ploughing in the sand as RR stumbled to 136 all out. MI won big by 57 runs. It was a roller coaster ride for the reigning champions which looks like of an assured place among the top four. The mission 2020 of RR is almost but over.
