Dream 11 IPL 2020, 52nd Match.
SRH VS RCB Played at Sharjah on 31 October 2020.
Brief Scorecard:
SRH 121/5 in 14.1 Overs (WP Saha 39, MK Pandey 26, JO Holder 26*, Chahal 2/19) beat RCB 120/7 (JR Phillippe 32, AB de Villiers 24, W Sundar 21, Sandeep Sharma 2/20, JO Holder 2/21) by 5 Wickets
Player of the Match: Sandeep Sharma

On a dew-soaked Sharjah wicket SRH cruised to a crucial win against RCB keeping their hopes alive for a knock out round. Batting first on a slow gripping wicket RCB struggled all the way posting only 120/7 in their allotted overs. SRH hopped across rushing in 14.1 Overs scoring 121/5. The loss makes RCB case complicated. With only last round matches left only Mumbai Indians have assured a place among the top four. Literally excepting CSK the remaining 6 teams have possibilities to qualify for the three remaining places in the to league.

Wickets in all venues these days sometimes behave funny. Sometimes it is so slow that stroke making makes hell of an issue. In the evening some days heavy dew quickens the wicket making defending below par score extremely difficult. SRH was lucky with the coin and elected to field. Their bowlers created all sorts of problems for the top order batsmen of RCB. Inform Padikkai went early and so did maestro Kohli. ABD (24) tried to resurrect the innings for a while with Phillippe (32). But when him and Phillippe also left in quick succession RCB had no answer to very intelligent SRH bowling on the slow wicket. 120/7 was perhaps at least 30 runs short of what could be a competitive score given the dew factor. Sandeep Sharma (2/20) and JO Holder (2/21) did the squeeze.

SRH had the blessing of heavy dew making the ball wet. Although Washington Sundar managed to remove Warner early, W Saha (39) and M Pandey (26) adding 50 in the 2nd wicket made the chase easy for SRH. There was a bit of hiccup as Chahal removing both Pandey and Saha created some doubts in the minds of SRH batsmen. But West Indies Captain Holder striking 3 huge sixes in his 10 balls unbeaten 26 ensured that there is no more drama. SRH won by 5 wickets and with good run rate they are placed 4th on the table. DC and RCB with 14 points each are not sure of a place in the group of four. The last group matches would decide which 3 joins MI in the knock out.
