Cricket star Shakib al Hasan has returned to Bangladesh after over one-month stay with his family in the United States.
He arrived at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Qatar Airlines flight around 2:10 am on Friday.
The all-rounder had previously come in to the country before the scheduled tour of Sri Lanka and trained at the BKSP in order to prepare himself for a return to cricket following a one-year ban imposed by the ICC for failing to report corrupt approaches.
The ban came to an end on October 29.
The scheduled tour of Sri Lanka was cancelled and Shakib flew back to USA. He was waiting for the ICC ban to be lifted.
Shakib is due to take part in the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 tournament starting from mid-November.
Meanwhile, Shakib retained his spot as the number one all-rounder in ODIs with 373 rating points.
Earlier in October 2019, the International Cricket Council (ICC) imposed a two-year ban, with one year of that suspended, on Shakib Al Hasan for violating its anti-corruption code.
Shakib missed a total of three ODIs, four Tests and seven T20Is during the period of his ban.
Shakib had a rating point of 394 before the ban. The rating, however, dropped down to 373 after missing three ODIs.
