It took Beximco Dhaka and Champion Majestic Musfique championing his team to break the unbeaten streak of Chattogram. Mr. Dependable salvaged Dhaka from 3/23 with a brilliant unbeaten 73*. 

145/4 was a fighting score. Inspired Dhaka bowlers did not let down the efforts of their captain and squeezing Chattogram to 138/9 won by 7 runs. Winning three matches on the trot Dhaka looks safe for a knock out round. 

Chattogram lost its first match after winning all four in the first round. However, they are assured of a place in the business session already. But the way they batted leaves lot to ponder. If Liton and Soumya do not start well the team looks struggling. 

People say morning shows the day. But morning did not show for Dhaka in this case. Yet in the second round they seem to have discovered a winning formula somehow from somewhere. 

Put into bat Dhaka ran into immediate trouble. Two promising youngsters Mohammad Naim and Tanzid Tamim have failed to prove their worth in the tournament. So is one blaster Shabbir. Losing 3 wickets for only 23 by the 5th over Dhaka was looking down the barrel. Mushfique loves such situation. Sun or rain the team he plays looks at him to salvage. From the seemingly hopeless position Musfique steered his team out playing well placed brilliant innings of unbeaten 73 in 50 deliveries. He found so far proved impressive Yasir Ali Rabbi (34) in a partnership of 86 for the 4th wicket. 145/4 on the slow low gripping wicket proved a winning score.

The response of Chattogram got into early jolt as their glittering opening partnership of Liton and Soumya for once failed to kick off. Liton was in his element and Mahmudul Hasan Joy stayed with him till 48. Liton had another good partnership 48 with Mithun. 

But once Liton got out for 47 Dhaka bowlers bowling tight squeezed Chattogram to 138/9. Robiul Islam 2/23 and Rubel Hossain 2/24 were the key bowlers. Dhaka winning three matches on the trot is looking good to go to distance.
