Team of Tournament spirited Chattogram prevailed over star studded Khulna yet again in a very excited match on the last ball remaining head and shoulder above the rest. Earning 10 points out of possible 12 so far in 6 matches CTGRM already booked a place for the round two. KHLN also qualified staying with 8 in 7 matches.
 
It is strange even imagining that on the same ground which witness run feast in the other match star studded Khulna struggled reaching 157/9 and that too through a 14-ball unbeaten 32 runs cameo of Shuvagato Hom. Pace bowling duo Cutter Master “Fizz” (2/36) and new comer Shoriful (3/34) once again established that they are the best bowling pairs with white ball in this tournament.

However, the pleasant site of Mashrafe, Shakib and Riad (three of the five long serving adored playing together) were seen for the first time since the ICC World Cup. However, Mashrafe, promoted in the batting order got Run Out scoring only 1. Shakib failed yet again getting out to spinner Mosaddeq for 15. The best bowling unit of Chattogram kept Khulna batsmen under leash till Shuvagato Hom coming to bat 9 through some lusty hitting scored unbeaten 32 in 14 deliveries. That gave Khulna score some respectability. Of the rest Mahmudullah Riad scored 26 and Imrul Kayes 24. Shoriful again must have pleased management taking 3/34. Mustfaiz continued his wicket-taking roll taking 2/36. 

The scene of Mashrafe and Shakib bowling in tandem yet again and cheering for each other after a while must have been pleasing for their adoring admirers. The experienced campaigners kept flamboyant Liton and Soumya under leash. They could not tee off. Shakib got rid off both the openers before either could do much damage. In between Shuvagato got rid off Mahmudul Hasan Joy. Mashrafe bowled 3 tight overs. Coming later he cleaned out Mosaddeq. The match drifted down to the wire as 25 runs were required in the last two overs for the win. Shamsur Rahman and Nahidul were together. In the 19th Over Nahidul struck two sixes and took 16 of the bowling of Shuvagato Hom before getting out. 9 Runs was required in the last over. Shamsur Rahman struck over boundary in the last ball of Al Amin for winning the match from the grasp of Khulna. Playing an unbeaten innings of 45 in 30 deliveries Shamsur Rahman won the player of the match award. 

Two teams Chattogram and Khulna assured their berth in the top four.

This low scoring match after a high scoring derby seen earlier on the day between Barisal and Rajshahi proved either that was fluke or something else let analysts ponder. Any two of the other three can still make it.
