Bangladesh 2nd Innings 2/2 after 4 Overs.
Despite being handicapped by Shakib’s unavailability for Bangladeshi four men Bangladesh attack struck gold with the second new ball. Patience of bowling at right channel triggered a dramatic batting collapse after Blackwood and Da Silva rallied strongly with a 99 runs sixth wicket partnership. But once had Da Silva caught behind, Mehedy struck triple blows. West Indies collapsed dramatically losing last five wickets for only six runs. They could avoid following on however for stubborn batting of Blackwood and Joshua Da Silva. With 171 first innings lead Bangladesh assumed control. At the time of writing this report Bangladesh lost Tamim and Najmul both scoring ducks. With run cushion Bangladesh still can dictate terms if it can post at target of 250 plus on day three.
The greatest worry for Bangladesh is that Shakib will not be available to bowl. First, we have to wait and see how Bangladesh can withstand quality bowling of Rakheem who already tasted blood.
Mehedy produced another sterling performance with the ball taking 4/58. Naeem (2/56) and Taijul (2/84) gave him excellent support. Mustafiz on day one took 2 wickets.
For West Indies Brathwaite (76), Blackwwod (68), Da Silva (42) and Mayers (40) were main scorers.
