West Indies score 84-1 at lunch in 2nd Test vs Bangladesh

The visiting West Indies are making a steady progress on the first day of the second and final Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital on Thursday.

The visitors scored 84 for one at lunch, with captain Kraigg Brathwaite batting on 39 alongside Shayne Moseley on 6.

Opener John Campbell was the only batsmen to be dismissed in this session with a fluent 36.

Brathwaite and John Campbell gave the side a decent start, adding 66 runs in the opening stand after West Indies decided to bat first.

With West Indies scoring at ease, Bangladesh got the vital breakthrough through left arm spinner Taijul Islam who trapped Campbell lbw after the batsman tried to play a sweep shot.

Bangladesh, eying to salvage the series, made three changes.

All-rounder Soumya Sarkar, middle order batsman Mohammad Mithun and pacer Abu Jayed Rahi came in the place of Shakib Al Hasan, Shadman Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.

West Indies, which chased down a mammoth 395-run target for a stunning three-wicket victory in the first test, made one change to the side with Alzarri Joseph replacing fellow pacer Kemar Roach.
