IPL 14:2021 14th Match Played at Chennai on 21 April 2021
Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) VS Punjab Kings (PBKS)
SRH 121 /1 in 18.4 Overs (Jonny Bairstow 63*, David Warner 37, Kane Williamson 18*)
PBKS 120 All Out in 19.4 Overs ( Maynak Agarwall 22, Shahrukh Khan 22, Chris Gayle 15, Khaleel Ahmed 3/21, Abhishek Sharma 2/24)
SRH won by 9 Wickets
Player Of The Match: Jonny Bairstow

Finally, Sun Risers met a huge success after losing few near misses. Yesterday at Chennai they destroyed PBKS wrapping them up for a paltry 120 in 19.4 overs. Then they had a cake walk in cruising over scoring 120/1 in 18.4 overs. English opener Jonny Bairstow piloted the flight playing a classy unbeaten innings of 63.  SRH winning big by 9 9wickets moved to 5th position in the points table.

PBKS electing to bat on a sluggish Chennai wicket found the going extremely difficult against some very accurate and disciplined SRH bowling. Khaleel Ahmed (3/21) and Abhishek Sharma (2/24) were the tormentors. Apart from Maynak Agarwall (22) at the top and Sharukh Khan (22) at the late middle order none could stay longer at the wicket. 120 all out was never a score to defend in modern day T20 matches. Wicket fell at regular interval; no partnership could develop.

SRH openers Warner and Bairstow producing 73 runs in the first wicket partnership evidenced that there was no venom in the wicket. Bairstow batted merrily remaining unbeaten on 63. SRH scoring 121/1 in 18.4 Overs won big by 9 wickets.  Chennai wicket this year has witnessed small totals being defended. But 120 was toll little to even think about that. PBKS has sunk to the bottom of the point’s table after match four. Every team has now won at least one match
