It was after 4 losses on the trot KKR got back into winning streal in a low score match against Kings of Punjab yesterday at Iconic Narendra Modi stadium. Batting first the big guns CH Gayle, KL Rahul, Deepak Hoda and Moeses Henrique did not fire. PBKS could only manage 121/9, a well below par score in modern T20 match. KKR cake walked the target in 16.4 overs scoring 126/5. 

One-win elevated KKR from 8th position to 5th. The good sign is that after lean period Captain Morgan recovered his form. Sunil Narine replacement of Shakib is not work as Narine once again failed with the bat. Shakib must return. He has much greater utility and impact in any form of cricket. But he must bat at top order.

KKR put PBKS into bat. KL Rahul and Maynak Agarwall was going well till Cummins removed Rahul for 19 in the 6th over. Fall of Rahul triggered a mjor Collpase. Gayle (0) , Deepak Hooda ( 1) were wiped off within the wink of an eye. Pooran and Rahul tried to resurrect. But the Agarwall was picked up by Sunil Narine. Again, a mini collapse triggered. 5 quick wickets fell for the addition of 38 runs. Pradish Krishna ( 3/30) , Sunil Narine (2/22 ) and Pat Cummins ( 2/31) restricted PBKS to 121/9.

KKR stumbled a bit in their chase. Three wickets fell within within the first 3 overs for 17 runs only. Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana and Sunil Narine were all gone. Here again Shakib was missed. However, Rahul Tripathi (41) and Eoin Morgan (47*) ensured that no more drama happened. KKR cruised across the target in 16.4 overs. KKR has to take a decision. Playing Shakib is the option.
