DC Won by 7 wickets 

An easy win by 7 wickets over KKR consolidates the position DC among the tops of IPL 14 in the points table as both teams finishes round one. KKR stays in the bottom half. Batting first apart from Shubman Gill (46) in the top and Andre Russel (46*) in the lower order could make some contributions.  Morgan (0) , Narine (0 ) and Karthik (14) failed delivering. KKR produced well below par score of 153/6 in allotted overs. DC had easy sailing scoring 156/3 in 16.3 Overs. 7 wickets win earned them 10 points from 7 matches and put them right behind CSK, the table topper in the points table. 

At 2/69 in 10th over KKR was looking good. But loss of Morgan (0), Narine (0) and Gill (43) in quick succession stumbled KKR. Karthik could not lift. However, Russell with his 27 balls unbeaten 45 gave some fleshes to KKR as they completed at 153/6. Lalit Yadav (2/13) and Axar Patel (2/32) throttled KKR innings.

Young Prthivi Shaw (82) and Shikhar Dhawan (46) almost on their own won the match combining to a sparkling 132 first wicket partnership. However, Cummins making a late surge had both of them dismissed and also took the wicket of Rishav Pant. But that was too little too late. DC cantered past KKR set target scoring 156/3 in 16.3 overs. Cummins took 3/24.  KKR finished first round way behind teams among the top four. Would require reassessing options in the second round if they want to qualify for the business session.

Sunil Narine preferred over Bangladesh all rounder Shakib Al Hasan again failed with both bat and ball (0 and 0/36).
