Bangladesh first ever won T20 International against Australia by 23 runs in the first match at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Nasum, a left-arm spinner, returned career-best figures of 4-19 to help dismiss Australia for 108 while chasing a target of 132 as Bangladesh took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series in Dhaka.

Besides,  Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam bagged two wickets each.

This is the first bilateral series between the two sides.

Losing 7 wickets in 20 overs, Bangladesh were able to manage 132 runs against the visiting Australia.

In reply, Australia could score 108 runs losing all wickets in 20 overs.

The second T20 is on Wednesday at the same venue.
