The Bangladesh Electric Vehicle & Mobility Exhibition (BEVMX 2024) and Bangladesh International Medical Exhibition (BIMEX 2024) kicked off today (Nov 7) at Dhaka’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
Savor International Limited has organised the three-day expo.
BEVMX 2024 showcases cutting-edge electric vehicles, technologies, and renewable energy solutions, offering industry stakeholders insights into trends and innovations in the EV sector.
BIMEX 2024 highlights medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and laboratory products and services in Bangladesh, featuring areas like Medical Equipment, Lab Bangladesh, PharmaNext, and Vethealth Bangladesh.
In his opening remarks, FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman noted the growing availability of EVs in both urban and rural areas, emphasizing the expo’s role in strengthening local industry capacity. He called for international collaborations to introduce advanced products and technology transformations in Bangladesh.
He also addressed the tax challenges faced by businesses and expressed FBCCI’s support for EVs as an eco-friendly initiative. On the medical front, Hafizur highlighted the importance of industry-academia partnerships to advance the sector, noting that many Bangladeshi students excel in biomedical engineering abroad, though more local universities should offer the program. He advocated for infrastructure development to support domestic medical equipment manufacturing.
Notable attendees included Mohammad Ali Deen, General Secretary of BAAMA; Sk. Aminuddin, Director of Akij Group & CEO of Akij Motors; Mohammed Tipu Sultan, President of BMEISA; Amirul Islam, Chairman of Savor International Limited; and Md. Faizul Alam, Managing Director of Savor International Limited.
The exhibition is supported by associate partners IBCCI, BMCCI, BAAMA, BEMA, ABMEAB, MyZEVA, BRTA, BMSS, BMIHEDMA, ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter, Bangladesh Veterinary Association, and Bangladesh Veterinary Council.
The event is open to all from 10 am to 7 pm daily.
