GP avails nationwide 3G service

DHAKA: Grameen Phone, one of the leading mobile phone operating companies in the country, has made available the Third Generation (3G) network service across the country.

Grameen Phone has set a milestone by providing 3G service in 64-district of the country as they promised in September last year.

On this great success, head of Corporate Affairs Officer Tahmid Azizul Haque said “We have fulfilled our promise as we announced to avail the 3G service in all the districts of the country within March 2014.”

The 3G service was launched in December last year in Dhaka and then the service well spread throughout the country within a shorter while.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bibek Sood said that the 3G service of GP has added a new dimension in telecommunication sector across the country.

However, earlier on September 8, GP bought 10 Megahertz (MHz) Spectrum (wave) where the other operators have got half of GP wave.
